Privacy Policy for Chrome & Microsoft Edge

This Privacy Policy explains how Courage Creates Pinnacle Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SusurElf extension for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your account email address and profile information made available by Google, such as your name and profile picture. We use this information to identify your SusurElf account and provide support.
• Prompts and selected content. When you ask SusurElf to perform an action, we process the prompts you enter and the page text or screenshots you select for that request. The extension does not send every page you visit in the background.
• Usage data. We record feature usage, AI model selection, credits used, request status, and timestamps to operate the Service, enforce quotas, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.
• Technical and security data. We may collect browser type and version, extension version, IP address, and device identifiers used for rate limiting, fraud prevention, security, and debugging.
• Subscription information. Website payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store full payment card details. We receive subscription status, billing country, and transaction references needed to manage your plan.

2. How Remote AI Processing Works

SusurElf is not a local-only AI service. Prompts and the page text or screenshots you choose are sent over HTTPS to the SusurElf backend. Our backend then sends the request to Aliyun DashScope to generate the response and returns that response to the extension.

Aliyun DashScope processes submitted content under its own terms and privacy policy. You can review the Alibaba Cloud Privacy Policy. We do not use your prompts to train our own AI models.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Authenticate your account and keep your credits available across supported browsers and computers;
• Provide summaries, translations, chats, mind maps, podcasts, and screenshot analysis you request;
• Manage free and paid access, credits, and Paddle subscriptions;
• Apply rate limits and detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
• Diagnose errors, answer support requests, and improve reliability;
• Send essential account, billing, service, or policy notices.

4. No Sale of Data or Advertising Trackers

We do not sell your personal information, prompts, selected page text, or screenshots. We do not use advertising trackers or tracking cookies to build advertising profiles. SusurElf uses browser storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as language, theme, and model preferences.

The public website (susurelf.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and clicks through to the Chrome Web Store and Mac App Store. Google may set analytics cookies on that website. This is site analytics, not advertising profiles. See the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep account and subscription information while your account is active, for service operation, and for legal compliance. Usage records are kept for billing, credits, fraud prevention, and support. Prompt and response content may be kept for a limited period to provide conversation history and diagnose errors, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Data Security

We use safeguards including HTTPS, access controls, authenticated requests, and rate limiting. No Internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You can delete your SusurElf account in the extension side panel under Settings → Delete account. You may also contact support@susurelf.com.

Deleting your SusurElf account does not automatically cancel a Paddle subscription. Use the subscription management link in your Paddle receipt email or contact support to stop future billing.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country, including in regions where our backend infrastructure, Paddle, and Aliyun DashScope operate. We use the information only for the purposes described in this policy and apply protections under applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email.
